Click the image at left to view a few images from our studio visit, and link to the web site of Boston area artists Helmick & Schechter, who generously opened their studio to us for a visit. The pair explained their process of creating complex, large-scale public installations made by hanging thousands of cast metal objects in precise alignment, the objects combining to form one singular image. We viewed sample objects from one of their recent works, got a first-hand demonstration of a 3-D digital scanner, and were given a sneak peek into new projects still on the drawing board.
