Dear Parent/Guardian:

Your daughter/son is currently enrolled in the Modern World History course at Ipswich High School. We are currently discussing the course and actions of the Holocaust. As a part of this unit, we will be watching the video Schindler’s List.

The video describes one man’s efforts to save several Jewish people from the Holocaust unleashed by the Nazis during World War II. The video contains several scenes that your daughter/son may find disturbing.

This letter is also a permission slip that you will need to sign in order for your child to view the video as a part of the course. If you object to your child watching this video, they will be assigned an alternate assignment to ensure an understanding of the material, that they will complete while the video is being shown.
