THE STUDENT LEADERSHIP COUNCIL
THE STUDENT LEADERSHIP COUNCIL
The purpose of the Winthrop Student Leadership Council (SLC) is to develop leadership skills in ourselves and others, to set a good example, and to find ways to improve the school. The SLC places great value on cooperation, communication, collaboration and responsibility. Students meet together monthly to explore these concepts as they
relate to leadership. The students also participate in service projects through the year to help the school and community. The projects include help with recycling, videotaping concerts, art curators, library monitors, writing a school newspaper, serving the community through Early Act and serving as bus monitors.
Student Leadership Council can involve two types of meetings.
