Goal One: Continue to evaluate the schedule.
We will:
Build a yearlong curriculum in all subject areas.
Pilot co-taught learning and placement and lead teacher model
Focus on UBD/UDL curriculum development models
Pilot grading of Spanish as core content class and PE/Spanish delivery options
Goal Two: Develop approaches which address social and survival skills as they relate to adolescents in the middle school.
We will:
Plan and implement a student development fair.
Promote internet safety and web manners.
Goal Three: Actively encourage a respectful, empathetic, and safe school climate.
We will:
Increase appreciation of differences in gender, income levels, religion, and disabilities.
Recognize and celebrate student achievement and acts of community service.
Encourage students to take an active role in community problem solving activities.
Goal Four: Sustain and promote parental involvement in the middle school.
We will:
Acquire more technology i.e Build a Box computers
Offer Fireside Chats on Bullying Harassment and Cyber bullying
Promote use of school website and list serve
Goal Five: Address the challenges of NCLB and AYP.
We will:
Continue to track and improve MCAS scores.
