I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new principal of the Paul F. Doyon Memorial School. My name is Sheila (Cuddy) Conley. I grew up in MA and moved to Manchester, NH when I was in fourth grade. My family spent every summer in Hampton Beach and my parents still live there. I went to Plymouth State College for my undergraduate degree in Sociology and then attended Salem State College for my elementary education certification. I taught fifth grade in Exeter, NH before moving to New York. While living in New York for the past twenty years, I have taught 3rd, 5th, and 6th grade and was the assistant principal of a middle school for the past three years. During those years, I earned a M. ED in Curriculum & Instruction with a focus on Literacy from Lesley University and a second MS degree in School Administration & Supervision from College of New Rochelle.

After living less than an hour north of NYC and loving all it had to offer, I decided it was time to return to New England and be closer to family. Although I will miss my friends and former students, I am pleased to be starting a new chapter in my life here in Ipswich.

It is my privilege to have the opportunity to be the new Paul F. Doyon Memorial School principal. I look forward to working with such a highly qualified staff and continuing the many successful programs Doyon has to offer. Most especially, I am eager to meet the students and share my passion for learning with all of them.

During the summer, if I am not here at Doyon preparing for the upcoming school year, I hope to be out kayaking, biking, and/or golfing somewhere in the area. I have already enjoyed reading and walking along Crane Beach and look forward to one of the upcoming Thursday night concerts.

Hope everyone is having a healthy and happy summer!
